Transferring fish to new tank

Hello, I have a 15g hello reef with a pair of clownfish and a fire fish. I bought a bigger tank, set it up and have been letting it cycle. I used a piece of rock from my biggest mature tank and some sand and a little bit of the water, and a zoanthids colony. How do I acclimate the fish to the new tank? Do I need to do it slowly, one fish per month or something. It’s been setup for about a month now, so I feel it should be able to at least handle my fire goby. Should I just wait longer? I have had these fish for 7 months and really have gotten attached to them all, so I don’t wanna risk killing them, at all. I have no way to measure ammonia. I’m also in no rush.

How big is the new tank?

Can you test nitrates?

Can you not pick up even an API ammonia test kit?

Have you done anything to feed the bacteria?

How are the zoas doing?

I added 4 fish into a new tank that was set up with live rock from my other tank. I ghost fed the tank once or twice…maybe….tank got wet Nov 19th. Added 2 fish Nov 30 and 2 more Dec 10th. Tank is 100g with a 39g sump.

So if the zoas are doing well I would say you could add them all at once.

If you want to be safe add the fire fish and wait a week and add the clowns.

I have to buy me another nitrate test kit because mine are no good. And the zoas are open and seem to be doing fine. I did one and only, and have been ghost feeding. My mature tank is probably 2 years old, maybe a tad less. I can get some pics tomorrow

You are going from 15 gallon to what size tank? You could have moved all your rocks and all your fish and corals in one shot. The mature rocks will insta-cycle the tank and will keep everything alive in the new tank, even as the new rocks cycle. no need to go so slow.

Nitrates don’t matter with fish

As the comment above said you could have moved everything in 1 shot. I did that when I went for 16 to 70g - no issues with fish or the corals

So your good to go to drop all the stuff in the old tank to the new tank
