The rose hair was a Christmas gift to my middle son 5 yes ago. Santa bought it with out telling Mrs clause.

I was still in high school and my parents never really came in my room much, my mom flipped out and wouldn’t go back in there knowing I had it. For some reason she started biting my hand when I would hold her, have her away when I went to college.

I released it in the back yard. How do you sex them? Are males smaller than females as in other spider species? We figured it was looking for a mate (early fall).

I had a big collection of poki, and a communal H. Incei setup. H. incei are a pygmy tarantula and one of the very few on the planet that live communally. If you ever want a really awesome setup... Get 3 female and 2 male H. Incei, set them up in a 40g breeder with 4" or more of cocofiber. They will live communally, feed each others babies, grow into a cool community, and build a tunnel system that rivals ants.

There's more than a few ways to sex them.. But almost 100% guaranteed, if he was out and about, he was a male. Looking for a female most likely. Almost guaranteed, like 99.999%
