Hi
could all TMC first wave tank (48or 78litre) owners
please let me know what the levels of water evaporation are with the stock lid fitted.

There is still little information available on these tanks from owners themselves so
any info would be gratefully received

Many thanks
T

Evaporation will vary from tank to tank. You have to take in effect surface agitation, how much turn over there, heat from lights, ambient room temp, air movement... there are a lot of factors involved.

Hey thanks for reply.
I am not interested in getting a TMC tank - was just curious in what evaporation amounts are being recorded due to the TMC 48/78 models lids having slits along the lids top.

Anyone with TMC 48/78l tanks please let me know

Evaporation occurs when humidity levels are low during periods of low humidity you will have to add more water and you will probably add much less water when humidity levels are higher depending on were you live. Evaporation will always be an issue but you have to adjust your addition of water according to humidity levels in your area.

yep thanks. I am aware of evaporation - only interested in what levels of evaporation TMC 48/78l owners are finding.

Just interested to make comparison to similar types of tanks not in science behind evaporation thanks
