Late at night after lights go out shine a bright flash light on him and net him. Best way i have found to catch fish given they dont sleep in sand bed or cave.

Robert of Marine Depot fame has a lot of patience for sure............and it worked. I've tried same with firefish and no luck at all; think species of fish you're trying to catch is a big part of the equation.

Good luck

Is the old tank coming down? If so, then remove rocks and drain most of the water. If not, then when they're asleep or with a fish trap.
