Traumatized Starry Blenny?

I recently purchased a starry blenny. With new fish, I am used to a little bit of shyness. However, This guy is something else. He has no issues being out in the open when I am not around and swimming around with the other fish, but I only know this because the SECOND I walk into the room I see him instantly panic dart to safety. He is so panicked he runs into rocks and seems almost stunned sometimes like he is so shocked his little fish brain stops working properly. Im curious if this behavior has been observed in other starry blennies as well. If I sit in the same room long enough he comes out and acts normal again but Im hoping that eventually he will stop darting at the sight of me to begin with. Thoughts? I have had him for about 2 weeks now.
