I have heard some people have success with treating an entire reef tank for AEFW with Prazipro. I was wondering if anybody has tried this and their experience, thought or comments. Thanks

I am aware of the treatment for flukes, but I am curious if anybody has treated for AEFW with it.

scary stuff, the few people I know that did that treatment killed off their whole tank- Be über cautious

I agree, i wouldn't recommend it, I have heard the same stories. Doesn't look like anybody has tried the Prazi route.

I have been dipping acros in Prazi for years. It is very gentle and kills AEFW dead. I have dipped many deepwater acros that seem particularly sensitive to dips with no issues. I have also experimented with very strong dips and still no problem. I have considered trying an in tank treatment but have never needed to. However I have little doubt it could work. Of course it might not which is the scary part.

I've been using the advantage insect killer from Home Depot with great results, I've seen it kills red bugs too so thats a bonus for preventative Q/T treatments.

I had AEFW in my 400 gallon and BEAT them :clap2: the rotten little acro killing abominations- It required removing every stick from my tank and doing weekly dips but its been 3 months since I have put everything back into the display and I haven't seen a single bite mark or worm. I baste them every so often to see if I see one fly off- knock on wood all has been good so far.

I was lucky for years before I got them, now I Q/T for 4 weeks minimum while dipping weekly and everything gets cut off of what ever it came in on, colony or not.

I loathe those rotten little..........

Edit...the one thing I don't like about advantage is the mixed solution is milky and ai cant see the AEFW come off as I can when I used coralRx, but its cheap and safe

When using this as a dip/ bath, how much, n how much water for how long?
The dosage for treating fish is a good starting point although I have used much stronger doses without ill effects. As for length of dip i usually do around 10 minutes but the prazi will kill flatworms much faster than that.

If the dosage for fish kills AEFW in less than ten minutes and many people have successfully used Prazipro as an in tank treatment for flukes, then I don't see why it wouldn't work in tank for AEFW.

In theory this sounds correct. But if you are dealing with a 500 gallon system, the dosage to kill the AEFW may be much larger than what it is for flukes. So large that it has the potential to crash the system. Thats why I was curious to see if anybody had attempted this with success.
