Trident: is Neptune DOS required or can I use BRS 1.1ml doser?

OK I’m gonna use my Virus money uncle Sam gave me and cop a Trident, I was resistant but what the heck...I currently have 4 BRS 1.1’s but wanna do the controlled dosing thing once the 7day break in is past...
Question: do I have to use Neptunes DOS doser and spend $300 or is there programming that will work with run-o-mill BRS dosers ?
Any Trident owners doing controlled dosing plz chime in..

The Trident Controlled Dosing is tightly integrated with the DOS and it calculates how much extra or less to dose based on the test results.

You can make rudimentary adjustments to a 3rd-party dosing pump based on the Trident readings, but it won't be as precise and the programming is tedious. See this thread:
