Grower of the Small Polyps
Hello everyone!
I am looking to sell my entire set-up. Due to some personal reasons, I am taking a temporary break from the hobby. I will be back, but for now I need to focus my attention on other things at the moment. I know a system of this size will be hard for someone to purchase at one time, but I would prefer to do it this way to make it easier on me and my family. So for that, I am looking at selling it for around 50% of what I paid for it. Most, if not all, are a year old or newer. Everything I have was purchased new by me, and I can provide receipts, etc. for most, if not everything.
The system is a 480-gallon custom-built acropora dominant peninsula with a ghost overflow. Lighting consists of four 400-watt MH Hamilton fixtures with five years worth of Radium 20K bulb changes. (4) 4-bulb T5 fixtures running ATI Coral+/Blue+ and two years worth of bulb changes. Filtration includes a large Reef Octopus SRO-XP8000 skimmer, a Pentair Aquatics 120W high-output UV sterilizer, and a large Bashsea Bio-Reactor. Sump is a 300-gallon rubbermaid stock tank that has worked really well. The system also has a large Neptune Apex system with 44 controllable outlets, Trident, Probes, etc.
I put together a list, but this does not include everything. I have a ton of miscellaneous supplies, chemicals, supplements, media, etc. that I will include as well to help sell it as one unit. See the list below for everything I could think of and how much I paid for it. As you can see, everything is over $30k new. I am thinking of a good price point of 50% off, which would be $15k for everything. I know this is a lot, but for anyone looking to get into a turn-key Acropora system of this size, then this is a steal. Some things could be sold off separately as you do not need all of this equipment to run a system, which would lower the cost drastically for someone getting into this. I just don’t have the time to go through and try to sell each item individually.
