Trident leaking inside unit?

New Trident kept having failed All test so I opened it up and it just poured out waste water (blue). Anyone run into this before or know a solution?

Just noticed this tube not even connected, I’m running a test again hopefully that was it

Check if your waste line is pinched. Just clean everything really well and put the tube back on. Reprime everything and you should be good to go. You can take the cover off really easily, grab the rubber feet and unscrew them, then pull out the tabs and the whole top comes off

Hopefully that takes care of it. After returning the second one they mentioned that a few others were returned with the same issue. I believe the first one and the replacement had a crack in the pump.

Yes I believe this is the issue, I’ve now connected it back twice and it keeps coming off lol

Most likely a blockage in that line when pressure builds up it pops it off.

Disconnect the waste line from the back of the unit.Take it to the sink and flow water through it. If it doesn't come through, try it in reverse. You could try blowing in it (while disconnected). Be careful with canned air because you don't want to blow a hole in the tube. If you feel like the line between the center hub and the valve is a little too tight, just push the little square in the head of the valve (this will release the pressure on the tube) and you can pull a little extra tubing through.

Make sure your waste line is not pinched where it exits the trident. I pulled my waste line too tight once and it stuck between the cover and the base where it exits.

If it is "new" new (not "new to you" new) and still in warranty, call Neptune. Your bottom valve may start becoming sticky due to the leaked fluid, so if it is under warranty get that replaced. If not under warranty, you can take it apart and clean that too (not hard, just patience)

I disconnected the hose and blew through it then got water to flow through it, reconnected it and did a test and it’s working now. Hopefully nothing causes it to block again lol

If the unit is not used daily with the minimum tastings being done the regents solidify inside the unit. Only way to keep it clean is for it to be constantly being used daily. And if not to be properly shut down which in turn runs tank water thru lines first to flush them out. And in turn now you have salt water in lines that can eventually dry out and crust up.

I’m sure these units are being tested before sent out to stores for sale. It is possible the lines are not being flushed Thoroughly before put in boxes for sale. No big deal nothing little air and warm water can’t fix. And get use to it if you plan to use this machine for long time cause I’m sure this will be issue in future with all of ours. FYI I have 2 tridents running on 2 different systems and I love it

I just bought this unit brand new yesterday with a six month reagent supply, I don’t plan on taking it offline for at least my time in the hobby lol I appreciate everyone’s help and input!!
