Soooooo, my Trident NP showed No3 "out of range" today... I thought it was simply that the reagents were low. (I supposedly had 7 more tests, per the Apex estimate.)

I open the tray and yes, #1 and #3 are nearly empty... but #2 (orange) is almost full, as in unused!?

Obviously something is wrong with the NP internals if it's not drawing #2... but how could I have been getting results these past 2 months?! Wouldn't it have known there was no #2 dispensing - OR - shouldn't have the results been way off?!

I have (weekly) tested separately, API tests, and the the No3 and Po4 have corelated with the Trident. There was even an ICP test in the last month that matched the Po4 numbers.

I'm so confused... either way, seems like it's time for a new NP. :(

(the Po4 jump below was due to my dosing NeoPhos because my system has been bottoming out)

I guess my question is, does anyone know what the Reagent #2 on the Trident NP does?! Is it possible to get accurate results for N or P while not using #2?

Submit a ticket with Neptune. I would do that now to get into their queue. I thought out of range means it is reading 0 or greater than 100 ppm. The fact that you mentioned there is a reagent bottle full is suspect, as in something is wrong. Pinched line, clogged, or bad stepper.

Thus reaching out to Neptune.
