hey guys, my local vet does not carry any interceptor, but they do carry something call trifexis. it contains the same as interceptor but it also contains spinosad. which is also used to kill fleas,

i searched for this but all they came up with was, they started to make interceptor again as of febraury.

cmon guys help a guy out here!!

You can use Bayer insecticide which works just as well or better. I have used it and it works fine. 10ml per liter of water. Google it if you want more info.

I've read about bayer insect killer, but i thought you had to remove all of your corals. i cant remove my corals, i need a intank treatment. unless i was unaware that bayer is an intake treatment o.o

Oh no I thought you meant for dipping! I wouldn't do the bayer method in-tank. Sorry but IDK about in tank treatment. Hopefully someone will chime in about it. Good luck!

I had the same issue last week, I got conflicting info on the threads some said interceptor was available again as they had started production in February. From all my research and talking to my vet it is not available, 1800 pet meds website has been updated to say it will be unavailable for 3-4 months. My vet said not to use the Trifexis as it has another medicine in it to kill fleas and it is unknown how that will affect your tank. I was lucky that he had three sample pills that were a couple of months out of date and he gave me these for free. You may want to call a couple of local vets and explain your problem and they also may have samples. I did the treatment last week and it seemed to work, bugs look like they are gone. I have heard the Bayer works off you can pull the corals out of your tank , but I like you could not so many encrusted onto rocks. Good luck.

Why not remove one coral or part of a coral and try it first separate from the tank? Then if there are any major problems you know it will not work and you can avoid killing everything.

I found some interceptor at a Canadian pharmacy so I got a prescription from my vet and ordered through them.

No Trifexis this time but I'm still curious to hear results.
