Hi,

Has anyone been able to contact Trigger Systems customer support? I've sent two notes to [email protected] over the past two weeks and have not gotten a response.

I was trying to buy a replacement part but all the normal suppliers are out of stock. So I purchased directly from their web site and got:

Just to let you know — we've received your order #10774, and it is now being processed:
[Order #10774] (April 26, 2026)

My account has been charged but I've gotten no updates on the order. Are these guys even still in business? Anyone have any news?

Good luck. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with in 2 decades of doing this. They sold me the wrong part, wouldn’t refund my money, and completely ghosted me

I actually got a “shipped” email after 9 days.

There is no support phone number on their site. I read some post somewhere saying they had a fire? But I couldn't find any news article to confirm.

Hopefully, they figure things out and remain viable.

It is just a hit paying the money and it not working after two days. If they would answer a email would help. Thanks for the reply

Ive been trying to get ahold of them for a month and they won't return my multiple emails. They sent me a wrong replacement of my fleece motor.

I’ve been trying to reach them for over 2 weeks with 4 emails. I received a response from my first email asking me a question and I responded. It’s been silence since.

SeptorsReef, what motor did they send you?

I don’t know if this will help you out. I got Replacement Sponges from aquacave. They have other parts too.

I am looking for a new Motor Control Box V2. The screen on mine has gone out (I suspect moisture and/or salt creep corrosion), and a few cogs/teeth on the gear wheel have broken off, so it's definitely time for a new one.

I just e-mailed Trigger customer support today, 01 Jun 2026. - Let's see how long it takes for me to get a response.

No reply yet, so I e-mailed them again.

Trigger responded that they have a few in stock and I ordered it. HOWEVER, the one they sent didn't fit mine. I ended up taking the guts out of the new one and transplanted them into the old chassis. Works fine now, but I wouldn't recommend another trigger sump or the fleece roller. They continuously update their models, and don't keep replacement parts for the older models. Next time I'm going to buy a drop-in roller.

Trigger Systems Customer Service — 4+ Months Trying to Buy Replacement Parts

I normally don't like leaving negative feedback, especially because I've always considered Trigger Systems to make good aquarium equipment. Unfortunately, the customer service experience I've had trying to purchase replacement parts has been extremely disappointing.

I first contacted Trigger Systems on April 6, 2026 regarding a Platinum 20C Cube sump with roller mat.

Trigger responded that same day and provided pricing for several of the parts. I responded immediately confirming that I wanted to purchase the parts and also asked for the instructions for using all three float switches.

I was trying to purchase:

  • (2) High flow plates
  • (1) Polycarbonate lid
  • (3) 1" fittings
  • (1) External float-switch magnet, if available
  • Instructions for the original three-float configuration
The frustrating part is that I wasn't asking for free warranty parts. I was trying to give them money and purchase the parts.

After the initial response, I followed up on:

  • April 9
  • April 13
  • April 18
  • April 28
  • May 13
  • June 28
I even told them that the wiring information could wait and asked them to simply invoice me for the available parts so we could get the order moving.

As of August 13, 2026, more than four months after my original request, I still have not been able to get the parts order completed.

This has been especially frustrating because the sump is being repaired for a customer's system, so I have been the person having to explain the delay to the customer while continuing to tell them that Trigger Systems is a reputable company.

I have no issue with someone telling me a part is discontinued, backordered, unavailable, or that they need additional time. What I don't understand is repeatedly receiving no response when I'm simply trying to purchase replacement parts for one of their products.

I like Trigger's products, which honestly makes this experience more disappointing. Replacement-part availability and manufacturer support matter when you're buying expensive aquarium equipment that may be in service for years.

If Trigger Systems resolves this, I will gladly update this post with the outcome. But after more than four months and numerous follow-ups, I think the timeline deserves to be documented.
