So I've narrowed things down to two different sumps. And since I've never seen either in person, I have final question before I make my purchase.

Can anyone provide a comparison on Trigger vs Bashsea quality?

Thanks for all the help with this! I've been going crazy making a choice.

I have both

To me it looks like Bashsea has thicker walls than the Trigger. Build quality on both are great, but I will give Bashsea the upper leg on this as well.

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

I decided that I was going to go with Trigger, sort of.

I'll be getting the Tidewater 30, which is made by Trigger but is Planet Aquarium branded.

It has all of the features I wanted, and only one flaw. The price ;Playful

I returned my last Bashsea sump. There return section are way to small. Get rid of that useless foam section or move it.

Welp, I ordered the bashsea because I have a specific purpose in mind. I'm incredibly impressed. The return pump section is tiny, but the way the sump is configured is looking like it will be perfect for me.

You need to run an external return on these. Use the return chamber for your ATO float switch. Have been running the SS-48 on freshwater tank since September. Am now thinking of replacing my LifeReef with the SS-60, on my 200g reef tank. Lose the LifeReef refugium and skimmer, and go with the Bashsea skimmer and media reactor.

I have both, and both are good. I feel the Bashsea is a little higher quality. I cut out the foam section so I could run 2 Cor 20 return pumps.
