Hey guys
Can anyone help ID this triggerfish?
Local importer have said they just got it but unsure what type of trigger it is

Looks like an aberrant undulated trigger, Balistapus undulatus.
+1 to this, I don’t believe there is a true species of Trigger that looks like this and the minimal pattern does represent that of the undulated trigger.

The white belly would be something I haven't seen anywhere for an undy.

There's not that many species of triggers (30-40some), and if you throw out the obvious ones like all Xanthichthys, titan, queen, you're not left with much. Maybe it is an undy. Without looking them all up, I would have guess Rhinecanthus genus, but it doesn't match any of them either.

You know where it was collected?

Many Xanthic undys have white or yellow bellies which is unusual as they don’t have the patterning. And in fact on most Xanthic Undulated Triggers, their pattern is rarely complete and usually ends up as dots with just a few complete lines if any pattern at all.

No unfortunately I do not know! Quite interesting though
