I have a lot of vermatid snails in my tank. It's a mied reef mostly zoas, mushrooms, euphyllia and starting to have success with SPS. I have many vermatid snails and hate the cobwebs. I absolutely love triggerfish and was wondering what your thoughts on adding a redtail triggerfish to my tank? Other fish: mated pair of clownfish, 4 chalk bass.

I'm thinking hard about trying the redtail. I've never had one. Have had so many different triggers over the years with F/O tanks. I hope it will like vermatids. I can't find anything saying triggers will eat them, but to me it seems like it would be right up their alley, yet, I also can't find a ton of info on people keeping triggers in their reefs.

I have previously kept a pair of Blue Jaw triggers in a reef (and may do so again). They leave the corals well enough alone but your CUC will be limited (as in none left).

Some wrasses or possibly bumble bee snails are thought to eat the vermatids.

JayStro81 had a post on his experiences using a wrasse.

I have a blue throat. No indication that it eats vermetid.

So far it's just another fish; low agression, personable, reef safe.

I also have a Blue throat with no aggression issues. I have kept Picasso triggers in the past in reefs but you can't have a normal CUC with them.
