I have 3 trochus snails in my tank. I let them clean my 15-gallon tank after cycling, and they mowed everything down. I have 2 on my main rock work, and another one is just running laps around the top of my tank every day, right under the surface of the water. It has only been 4 days since adding them to the tank.

The other 2 move to eat algae wafers I feed them, but this one at the top doesn't even come down. Should I just leave it alone? Not sure if this is normal behavior, it hasn't really eaten much except for some algae on my wavemaker. Also, it keeps walking across the overflow weir, triggering the ATO 😡.

To weave a little more of the story. When I finished transferring them after acclimation, this one was the most uncooperative, and I had to let him into the tank from the surface of the water (kept sticking to the algae scraper). The other two were put on the rock directly.

Sounds like this particular snail has a thing for the waterline... Let em be... He'll figure it out
Oftentimes snails can live a long (for a snail) happy and productive life grazing on the algae on the glass.
