If you don’t have them in your tank, you should. I added a few to my frag tank, which had a bare bottom nearly completely coated in algae. These guys are RELENTLESS algae devourers!

I love mine in my tank, I went from having a good bit of algae to hardly any after sticking them in there

I'll likely grab some tomorrow when I go to the LFS. I added 10 turbos and 3 fish to the new frag tank system last week and they are all doing well. Need to grab some more critters to increase the bioload a bit.

Yes I have them but for me they’re meh due to my other livestock. Do they clean yes, but since I have a halichoeres wrasse, it gets to them before they have a chance to right themselves, and haven’t had them breed either sooo yea. I’ll stick to my 1.00 astreas for replacement value vs $5 trochus.

Definitely my fav in my system and make up the bulk of the CUC. They breed like crazy and have actually observed it.. pretty cool.
I prefer them over astrea as I do have a Melanarus wrasse so they at least have a chance to right themselves.

My favorites as well. I think I’ll only ever buy them and turbos. Maybe cerith for tight spots. But Nerites are the worst! Always upside down!

My trochus haven’t reproduced yet and I have 3 or 4 different species. I’m hoping within a year I’ll have more.. I don’t like buying stuff!
