Anyone tried this stuff yet? It seems like a newer product, didn't find any reviews.

I've had a small amount of Red slime that I can't seem to get rid of. I siphon it away and it comes back in a week or so, thought about trying this stuff.

Nitrates 5-7 phosphate .01-.03 (trident NP)

It sounds kind of like marine snow with some bacteria in it??

Tropic Marin® Cyo-Control naturally blocks the recurrence of cyanobacteria in the aquarium. After the cyanobacteria have been removed manually, the probiotic bacteria of Tropic Marin® Cyo-Control settle in their place. Sounds like a commercial version of the SunnyX coral snow (calcium carbonate particles) plus bacteria method.

Appreciate the feedback! I'll have to look at cynoclean as an option also, trying to stay away from Chemi Clean hoping it will go away on it's own. This tank is 4 years old haven't had an issue with it until recently. I'm raising my alk to 9.5-10 from 8-8.5 and running kalk at night to keep pH high hoping that this will help cure it also.

My tanks has 3 years and full sps. I did not want to use cynoclean due all mys sps, but I only have spike on my No3, no other issues.

Interested as I'm in a somewhat similar situation.

Tank just over 3 years old and never saw any cyano until about 2.5 months ago and have been (mildly) fighting it ever since.

*like you, don't want to resort to ChemiClean -- so far just manual removal, added flow, trying MB7 just cause it was cheap and seemed safe,,, not really making much progress (yet)

Didn't realize the dose is a whopping 50ml per 26 gallons with 3 treatments over 5 days recommended according to the label.

At $40 for 500ml this stuff is very expensive to use.

My system is about 700 gallons so I would need 8 bottles to do a single treatment =$320

I just use chemi-clean and never had any ill effects in the different tanks all mixed reef. But there’s evidence via users doing Aqua Biomics testing that using chemi-clean decimates a lot of good bacteria. So I just do the bacteria dosing after treatment.

It may very well be the case that antibiotics like Chemi clean have a negative effect on reef tanks.

But an alternate viewpoint is that since many (most?) do not have an apparent observable negative effect, that the interpretation of bacterial analysis and what is good vs bad might need to be adjusted to match that observation.
