Ok so I’m thikkng of purchasing a planet aquarium tube steel stand from another member steel is 1.5 inches thick are these any good I want 2 use it 4 my 120

so i got the stand 2day and noticed some rust on the bottom member said it was caused by skimmer overflowing whiich in this hobby has happened to all of at sometine in the past so i started 2 sand the parts that had rust but got tired i want to strip the entire stand and protect it from rusting in the near future does anyone have advice on how to remove the rust and protect the stand in the near future any help will be appreciated thnks

Sandblasting is the most effective way to remove all the old paint and prep for new paint. You could probably find someone local willing to do so. Or you could find a local powder coating house and have the stand stripped and powder coated.
