I have a dersa clam that was recently attacked by a tube anemone. Now she won’t fully open for me to see the damage. She barely extends her mantle and only opens a 1/4”. What are some measures I can take that may help? This only occurred 2 days ago. I have sold the tube anemone. New phone so I don’t have photos. I’ve had her since she was 1.5” and now she is over 7”
The link below is the newest video

Thanks. The damaged area is the farther away on the left. The mantle there won’t extend out

Oh man, you make it souond like she is slowly on her way out.
No, I’m saying you need to give it time to heal. It’s not like you can apply an antibiotic cream to the mantle. If there was no hope, then I would’ve given you other advice/instructions. In the meantime, buy James Fatherree's book on clams if you haven’t already? You can find it on Amazon or his website. www.jameswfatherree.com
