I was able to make my Cheato tumble using what I have a basket tilted downwards (it’s too shallow), a solid piece of plastic on the left wall side secured with a reef safe magnet and the top of a acclimation box that has small sparse slats to let the water thru. This works for now, but I would like to get something that is larger that I can either modify or just buy that will work.

Do any of you have any recommendations? I know it doesn’t have to spin, but I want it to because look at it! So satisfying.

How big is the tank/area you have for it? Some people use a 5 gallon bucket above the tank as a refugium, others use hang inside refugiums in the tank.

Because of the matrix that chaetomorphy makes when it grows, tumbling is not feasible long term. Macro algae like Dragons Breath & Gracilaria Hayi are ideal candidates for tumbling seaweed.
