I failed to add a photo with my last post. I have the IM 15 AIO Fusion Desktop tank. I plan on having a pair of clowns and eventually, some soft corals. Where in this tank would be the best location for the Tunze 6040 pump? I do have the Spin Stream attachment on the return nozzle.

I would place it on the left or right side of your tank. That is just me!

Where does the water exit the AIO
chamber? I would tend to put the powerhead on the other side of the back wall.

The water leaves the tank on the top left and returns into the tank on the top right.

That's the one pump I've never seen in person...and it just looks so odd. I can't figure out how the flow works. Does it pull water in from the base and spreads out against the half dome?

On the back wall. The exterior magnet is safe in water. This is an old pic but you can see where I placed mine on my 25g

Well then I think I would put it under the teeth where the water is entering the AIO chamber so that flow is heading toward the front of the tank from both right and left. Placing the tunze there will be less visible since the back of the tank is black like the powerhead. Of course there will be some flow going into the AIO chambers too.

My 6040 on my 15. It's just under the return. Pulse on 9 seconds off 9 seconds. Works well in this position.

So you have your minimum power set to zero? What do you have your maximum power set to for the pulsing?

Mine is the older model.
Around 3 marks on the dial. It has more power than needed. My system only holds 9.5 g's of water.
I angle the flow to the middle front.

Yep. It mounts vertically.
