Thank you for the reply this is what I was hoping in a real world case. I have no problem running them at a high enough rate just don't want it so that fish would try taking a chance.

Also I have plenty of smaller snails and a couple small urchins I don't want to get pureed.

My tank is 4 feet so the narrow guard just isn't going to do what I need it to.

A couple of my fish will still get too close but nothing that I fear will harm them. My Gold Lined Rabbitfish being the more aggressive at the cage cleaning. I get a bit nervous when it does it but in the few months that I've been running the Tunze 6105 I've have zero issues. Just the flamehawk as I mentioned but keeping the motor running at low seems to have stopped that.

I wish the motor could spin backwards as I think it could help in this area. Along with better push, pull, water movement without coming to a full stop. Maybe the stream 3's of theirs does this and I bought the wrong product.

In any case I really like the Tunze quality so happy with the purchases.

My old 120 4×2×2 had 2 6095's on the back wall 2 6105's and 2 Jebao ow-40 on the sides for 6 powerheads. The Sweeps allowed the use of only 2 powerheads in a larger system.

I probably just need to take the leap and put it on. Worst case I could rig it with some screen mesh and a zip tie.

I'm actually thinking of buying another 6105 and upgrading my current 6105 eco with the hub so I can get them synced up going back and forth.

Not to spend other hobbyist money but if you are buying a spare check out the Tunze portal and look at the ORCA and their respected pricing options. It may make sense to buy one of those.

I have a pair of Tunze 6105's and want an extra to make maintenance, cleaning, a bit easier by turning off and swapping. I'll more than likely buy an ORCA with the 6105 to get both then use the new powerhead as the cold spare and rotate clean with dirty :D

In any case back to the cage. You can alway do a test while you are in the home, area, to observe then switch back.
