Anyone have any experience with the Tunze 9001 DC? I like the idea of having a controller and dc pumps usually being quieter but most reviews I read say that the non dc is quiet. Wondering if it is really worth the extra money over the non dc version.

I have a non DC 9001 running for over a year on my NUVO 20. It has been a quiet, consistent work horse for me. I’m not sure what advantage a controllable pump would confer on such a small skimmer. I just dialed mine in via water level and air valve adjustments.

I have a 9001 dc. I ran it for awhile on my 25 nano cube with sump.
Ran well but it sits in a box now. I went with a larger skimmer.
I think it would be ok on a all in one 10gal tank but not much larger.
Very quiet too.

You interested in selling 9001 DC???
