Hey guys, I got two tunze products, an osmolator and the nano ato. Normally, I really like tunze, but these two have been giving me headaches, as they dont automatically top off, for both I have to unplug and replug. I thought it was the sensor, and give it a vinegar bath. when I restart it, the water pumps fine, so the pump and the waterline are both good to go. I dont know what to do, it seems that I have to buy new ATOs, has anyone ever been though this before?

If yours are the newer models, I also find when I clean mine, I have to remove the black covers to get them working correctly again, as yours do they prime fine but won’t auto fill until I remove the cover, trip the ato without the cover, then they work great again.

Let’s start with the most common, calcium on the sensor. This condition stops the sensor from realizing the water is below the optical sensor.

A simple soak in vinegar is sometimes not enough to remove the calcium film.

Try scrubbing the sensor as well. It took me several tries before it started working again.

Now days, each week, I take a small bush to the sensor.
