Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share my experience with the Tunze Long Care Magnet. I was really excited to get it after hearing so many great things about it. I unboxed it, watched a few videos to make sure I was using it properly, and felt confident to give it a go.
I started removing the algae, and everything was going great until I noticed an unexpected line on the outside of my tank. Yes... It’s what you think it is. A scratch. I scratched my tank on the first use.
And to make it worse? It’s right in the center of the tank.
If you want to try a magnet learn from my mistake: make absolutely sure that the outside magnet doesn’t have any debris before using it. It might save your tank from the same fate.
Anyways, thank you for reading my cringe post. I just thought writing this would help me process some of my frustration. If anyone has recommendations for a better tool to remove stubborn algae from the glass, with a lower chance of scratching it, I’d love to hear them!
