One of the most mundane tasks is filling the top off reservoir for my wife’s 25g aio. I have another system that is fed from a large reservoir from one floor below and it has been working well for several years. I would like to move my tunze nano ATO pump to the same reservoir (the pump can push water 20 feet), but the wire connecting the sensor to the pump and the power cord are only a few feet long. Any issues (besides voiding any warranty) with extending those wires about 10 feet each? Voltage drop is the only thing that could be a problem, but probably not since the run is relatively short.

tha k you for taking the time to read this.

I'm no electrical expert by any means, but it makes sense to me. Just in the event that it doesn't work, could you buy the 'new' lengths of wire that you need, and completely replace the original wires; so that if you were forced to go back to your original set up, you don't have a spliced-up mess on your hands moving backward to its original state? Just thinking out loud here.

Thank you for the suggestion, that was an option I had not considered. I just may go that route.
