In the market for an ATO, debating between these two. I am in college so the 3152 looks a ton more tempting due to it being 1/2 the cost...does the 3155 really have stuff worth 2x the value? it seems like it has a display and a digital eye. is that worth the extra $100??

I think the real difference is the display. It’s helpful with troubleshooting. But besides that I haven’t noticed a significant difference

I was just pondering the same thing.

I ended up going with the 3155 because it has the optical sensor as well as the display and additional safety features like alarms and auto shut off. I should be getting it in the mail tomorrow.

The 3152 is basically a float switch with a nicer pump.

Hope this helps

that's fair. do you think there is any benefit/con of using an ATO that has a specific pump vs a pump that connects to an adapter? kinda like the hydor ATO or IM hydrofill
