I have had a Tunze Osmolator for about a year but it has been acting up over the last few months. I have not moved it, except for the occasional sensor vinegar bath. Sometimes, it just stops working. When I manually bring up my water level in my sump, it starts to work again....for a few days or so and then the same problem reoccurs. Any suggestions?

Describe "not working." What light(s) does the LED control box display? The sensor may need more than a vinegar bath. Wiping it clean along with cleaning the overfill float sensor mechanism. I notice mine needs an occasional unplug/plug reset due to the amount of surface agitation in the sump. At least that's what I do.

You raise an interesting point, that it may be the OVERFLOAT sensor that needs cleaning. That may just be it. I will soak/clean it when I get home. Thank you for your input.
