Tunze osomolator 3

I want to upgrade to an osomolator 3 but the issue is my RO tank is about 20 metres away. Question is, can i modify the osomolator 3 pump so it has a 1/4 inch pick up on the front of the pump and will is suck water from the tank 20 metres away? Im currently using a versa and its been working perfectly however the reef factory level keeper keeps letting me down. Alternatively can i simply use the osomolator 3 and change the pump to the versa somehow ? Appreciate your help

I think horizontal travel isn't going to be a problem, vertical travel and fittings - things that affect feet of head/back pressure - are what you have to account for. I looked up the specs on the Osmolator the other day and it was pretty good on how much back head pressure it could overcome.

Sure the pump have a pressure head of 6.2m, but if you plan on running the 6mm tubing 20m, the flow out the other end may or may not be enough depending on how much you need to fill and how fast. I would increase the tubing to 8-10mm just to minimize the back pressure.
