I’ve had a some snails in my tank for a few months with no issue. One of the turban snails would zoom about on the glass. The last couple of days it’s always on the sand upside down.

Whenever I turn it over or place it next to the glass so it can stick to it, five minutes later it’s on its back again. All the other inverts and fish/coral are fine.

Is it on its way out?

Likely a goner.

Unless it's a super tiny tank that would be impacted by one dead snail, probably just leave it in. Worst case it becomes food for cleanup crew.

Agree^^^

I wait for “trap door” stop closing tight before I declare it dead.

So this guy is still alive but the same thing is still happening. If I move him onto the rock he falls off within minutes and then on his back again. It’s like he’s unable to stay upright.

I have the same exact thing going on right now!! Have you figured out why that was happening?
