Turning skimmer into reactor?

Theoretically yes you could, does not seem with the effort, you would also use a regular pump. Not skimmer pump

Too many headaches to try and convert it. Best to DIY or purchase one designed for the purpose you seek.

I was just wondering cuz I have an old reef octo sitting and thought hmmm maybe some carbon in it with a pump that kicks on and off but, as you can tell, I have. O idea how a reactor work :D :D :D

I do not recommend turning a gac reactor on and off. Stagnant water in it can become anoxic and toxic from hydrogen sulfide.
