Hello. I recently picked up a couple frags recently and just noticed 2 Aptasia's on one of them. My tank is currently Aptasia free except for this frag (yes, that is true!).. What is the best way to get rid of it ASAP? I dont have anything at home to rid of it, so i was wondering what I should get. I did dip the frag when I bought it in CoralRX, but looks like it survived? I have been extremely careful until now, so i want to get rid of them ASAP

Any suggestion is much appreciated...thanks!

Pull frag out. Locate the base of the aiptasia on the frag. Razorblade that sucker completely off the frag

If aiptasia hides, use razorblade and a toothbrush to scrub as deep as you can. Use paper towel and/or qtips to remove any goo residue

the best approach would be to take the coral off the frag plug and put them on new ones.
Yes, and be careful to rinse off the frag because tissue fragments from the aiptasia will easily propagate in the tank if they are knocked loose during the operation.
