Will these do well together?

I have read that they will go after one another depend on the size of the tank, and if they are not a mated pair... maybe @eatbreakfast can confirm this?

They usually can be kept together. Pairs protect a territory, but their territories are pretty small, so 12-18" per pair will usually be fine.
