some of those look ok, maybe you have your alarms set to tight, for instance, flow meters tend to drop out like that so you can set it to only let you know if it stays below min for a period of time i assume.

matter a fact i dont have but 2-3 alerts set up because they can be annoying

for flow i have no alarms except if it drops to zero so i do get one every once in a while

Mine is like yours, only alarms when off. That flow reading is only because it sporadically came back on for a short period of time. Below photo is my normal readings. Only dip is my feeding schedule

Ok guys and #reefsquad help me out,

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here or missing with my phosphate levels. Pertains to my fishless coral/invert QT tank. I spot feed small amount of misis. And reef roids for corals twice a week.
I do weekly 20% waterchanges. I continue to change phosguard every 5 days.

Jun 9- Nitrates 5
Phosphates .54( added bag of phosguard)

Jun 16- Nitrates 5
Phosphates .25

Jun 22- Nitrates 5
Phosphates .42(did 40% wc right after)

Jun 23- Nitrates 5
Phosphates .21

Jun 27- Nitrates (didnt test)
- Phosphates 2.02???

What am I missing here. Could It actually being cause by over feeding? Misis is such small amount. And I suck up anything I see floating. And reef roids i only put in what is recommended for 50 gallons of water.

Suggestions?

2.02? That can't be right, did you test again to verify?

yea at 2.02 things would be showing signs of issues.
but do you do a water change on that qt? small tanks can be problematic with phos and ammonia and a auto wc will solve all those problems

from the looks of it you may be feeding too much

Ok @Crabs McJones @scott11106,

So maybe I was dazed and didnt see clearly. Today,

Nitrate 5
Phosphate .42

Should I only feed once a week then? Seems I cant get these levels down. Or is .2 to .5 a ok swing?

What about elegance, scoly, cynarina, etc. Should I also only feed mysis once a week. Their ok with that?

Off topic question, should I still dip all corals before I introduce into my display? I have a bunch that are past there 45 day QT. And I'm probably going to trasfer sime this weekend.

Do you have any other nutrient export practices other than water changes?

@Crabs McJones, elegance, Scoly etc are good for only feeding once a week? I could cut nutrient levels down I guess by only feeding once a week, as mentioned

I'd do twice a week. If nitrates drop feed more often :)

Back door deals. When you live in Canada and common required items are banned. If there is a will, there is a way.

#reefsquad,

Can someone please give me a quick explanation. I'm looking at getting some more fish from Quality Marine. What is the difference when they say

Male Lineatus
Super Male Lineatus
And when people refer to terminal Male?

What are the differences?
