@vetteguy53081, this Goldens swim pattern looks suspect to me, or maybe I'm crazy, but i just noticed this tonight. Finished 14 days of copper and transfered to sterile system. This is three days out of copper now.

Long time no speak, How are thing and the family? And ummmm, I think we all need an update for your tank ;)

Long time indeed! I don't have much time for anything anymore and unfortunately that includes surfing R2R. Too much to do around the house. Family is great! Baby #2 is due in July, hense the ever-expanding list of things to do:confused-face:

How are things with you? My tank will shortly be taken down do to a MASSIVE infestation of aiptasia and the need to move it to the basement. Fish are doing great though! Hopefully over the summer I'll be able to do a reset on it and get back on track:)

Well congrats on baby #2 first and foremost.

It's going well. Since I had done that front panel change, it seems it took quite awhile longer this time for tank to establish itself. And for sps to take off.

Everything now is growing great. Just finished a display clean so here are some current photos as of today

So, I kept having a sea urchins picking up my frags in my system and dropping them where they seemed fit, and I was loosing frags. So, I decided to add a frag tank to tye system.

Tank was made by Advanced Acrylics and I couldn't be happier with their product. I had the welders on my construction tion site make me up a custom wall bracket to hang the tank. Recently added a baby tang in it to help with the algea. Eventually I'll just add him to the display.

Out of curiosity, you mentioned you’re pulling outside air and running it through the scrubber, is there a reason you’re doing that vs just running outside air? I’ve been running a recirculating scrubber and am about to drill a hole to run a line for outside air but wasn’t sure if there was a lot of benefit in keeping the scrubber.

I've started experimenting with drawing outside air, and still going through my scrubber to see what my ph will do. I typically don't chase numbers. But I can surely say, since doing it, along with a few other things. My growth has taken off on another level.

I pulled a 1/2" line that goes right to the underside of my soffit. With bird screens on it. A 1/2" x 1" tee

Thanks. I’ve got a pretty easy route to run it. Just need to find a cool enough day to spend some time in the attic. I’ll probably try and do it soon, and continue using my scrubber till I run out of media and see if I can tell a difference

The front panel had gotten changed because it started having clouded spots in the glass. Like a haze look. Miracles warranted it, so I went ahead with the task to replace it.

Major negative to it though, was the tank basically had a full reset. Sucked to have to wait so long to stabilize and let sps take off again.

Am interested in your QT method of the 45 days and invert only. Are the peppermint shrimp there for potential aiptasia hitchhikers?

Would you possibly share more on your prazipro and copper system? I generally just QT fish with UV and rely on the LFS medication system. I wouldn't mind implementing my own prazipro or copper treatment setup but also don't want to stress fish with medication unnecessarily.

Would be grateful to hear how you found success with your medication strategy.

Yes, peppermint are solely for hitchhikers in invert/Coral qt

Apon arrival. Treat with Prazi, two doses spread out over 5 days. Then water change. Then ramp up copper power over a two day period. Treat for minimum 14 days. Then transfer to sterile tank.

This is what works for me. Also, I found if I do prazi after copper fatality rate was much higher. As with Trans shipping flukes are a real nuisance. And come from the stores I get fish.

My Apex base unit controlling my display system almost crashed my system. Luckily I was home when this happened and noticed. Came down and my lights were off around 1130 am, when lights would typically all be on already. Went back and everything seemed normal and fusion didn't show any alarms. Tried using a slider on fusion and nothing happened, odd. Put my hanna temp checker in the tank, and my display was down to 77.2, this never happens. Scrambled doing a network reset and managed to get it back online, briefly. No idea why heaters parameters hadn't tripped them on to heat.

Turns out, my base unit SD card is corrupt and causing these issues. Of course that took speedy Neptune almost two days to respond while my system limped along. Looks like new base unit it is, and start programming from scratch again, great!

Taking the leap and going to switch over to a calcium reactor. Good friend of mine had one that i ended up modifying the old one to add second chamber and ph monitoring, along with new hardware/tappings and continius duty dosing pump to draw off to it. Concealed all in one system. Before and after photo.

Hope to have it inline soon before my new tank addition shows up.
