Finally got around to take some pictures of my new system. I'm pretty happy with the results and I hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Hardware
-Display tank: 240 Gallon Reef Savvy Starphire glass aquarium (48in x 48in x 24in)
-Sump: 75 Gallon
-Frag Tank 90 Gallon Frag Tank (48in x 24in x 18in)
-Protein Skimmer: i-Tech 400 Askoll 1500 Pump w/ Swabbie
-Chiller: 1/2hp JBJ Arctica
-Biofilter: Live Rock only (Display, Frag Tank, Remote Cryptic Trashcan)
-Carbon/Phosphate Filtration: None
-Return Pump: Reeflow Hammerhead
-Water Circulation: 2 Eductors(~8000ghp), 1xVortechMP60, 1xVortechMP40
-Lighting: 400W Elos 15K Metal Halide x2, 54W ATI T5x4, 110W Super Actinic VHO x2, Reefbrite 48" Blue x2
-Calcium / Alk / Magnesium Dosing: BRS dry product on LiterMeterIII
-Auto Top-Off: DIY float valves with slenoid
-Heating / Cooling: 250W Ebo Jager heater x3 on an Apex Neptune controller
-System Controller: Apex Neptune

Lighting Schedule:
-VHOs: 2pm-11pm
-T5s: 3:30pm-10:30pm
-LEDs: 3pm-11:30pm
-MHs: 5pm-10pm

Water Parameters:

-Calcium: 420 ppm (Sailfert)
-Alkalinity: 8 .5 dKh (Lamotte)
-Magnesium: 1,300 ppm (Sailfert)
-Nitrate: 0 - 0.02 ppm (Sailfert)
-Phosphate: 0 - 0.05 ppm (Hanna)
-Temperature: 77-81F

-45 Gallon Waterchange: Monthly
-Blow Detritus off Rocks: Monthly

Very nice! Do you have a fish room? Do you have pics of your hardware?

Thanks! The plumbing goes through the wall behind the tank, through the laundry room where I have the RODI and Doser, and into my garage where the sump, frag tank and waterchange station is. I'll put some pics up soon of all the hardware.

Thanks Rev! Got alot of my inspiration from the many other great builds found here on your R2R forum!

I'm not sure how many of you remember Steve Weast (Oregonreef), but his aquascape was the style that I was going for. The open channel between the two rock structures leaves room for tons of flow from the eductors which hit front glass at an angle and wrap around the sides. The vortechs are amost not necessary but add some good randomness and fill a few low flow areas I had.

When did you get your tank? It looks great I assume you had Felix make it custom for you at RSavvy correct? Was is a great experience, i am curious for we are going to soon start a reef tank with them also.

Outstanding!! I don't get when some say they don't like T5s. Your tank is the perfect light combo IMo...just greatness. All colors popping...looks very healthy
