Always something aye lol. Leak tested the big tank up on the stand today. After I filled it up noticed my water level slanted a 1/4" from right to left. Front to back is on. I think its the carpet as the stand was leveled out.
Should I just shim up the low side? I dont have the energy to put anymore work into this stand like taking it all back down and sanding and sanding and so on lol and so on. Guess the shim is really my only option. I actually just wanna say heck with it and just leave it but prolly better to at least shim.

What do you all think. I know there are prolly tons of slightly slanted tanks out there :)

mine is uneven also, I didn't do anything for it. I just try to keep the tank full, above the trim, so you can't see it.

Mine's not level either. Unfortunately I didn't notice during leak test. Now it's been running for almost a year. Hasn't gotten any worse so I've left it alone.

That's one way to do it. Lol.
When I was younger, I would tell my dad about some bad noise my truck made, and he wound reply with "turn the radio up"

You nailed it right on the money. Wish I had your tank. Beautiful btw. Definitely can't tell with the canopy. But my OCD wouldn't let me sleep at night knowing it's not level.
ROFL, I hear ya.

Hmmm ford in the name and telling a car related story. Have I found a fellow car enthusiast on R2R? Ford all the way. I've. Got a 1998 mustang gt. Sorry know this is off subject but had to say something.

My 180 sits uneven as well, About 1/4". Drives me nuts but it happened after the tank was already set up.

So I was thinking about shimming it to get the 1/4" I need to level but I am on carpet - I imagine it will still help but will it cause any probs.

Not that I know of. I used a level on my sisters 120g on carpet and it worked out fine.

With all the weight of rock and water it's shouldn't change much unless your floor / carpet is like a parking lot of speedbumps

I always set a tank up with freshwater then run it for a couple of weeks to find out all the quirks.
