I’m currently researching what tank I will be upgrading to from my current Fluval evo. The next one will be around 300 litres so I’m wondering what you guys have?.

I’ve been told D&D are a good brand and for 300 litre display it’s around £1500. Aqua One with similar volume is £999. Is the D&D worth the extra £500?.

Does the tank/sump make that much of a difference if you don’t skimp on lights/skimmers etc

Waterbox and innovative marine aren’t available in the UK and the reefcasa tanks are just nano tanks.

I've got a dd 1800 so not the exact tank you're looking for but the 900 and 1200 are both very popular. Similar price to red sea ( if not cheaper) and not heard many if any bad things about them. Cabinets come pre built too and in a wider choice of colours that any other manufacturer.

IMO if you go for the aqua pro reef with aluminium stand it's well worth the extra money knowing that it would last a lot longer than any wooden stand. Plumbing is easy to put together , and has a gate valve.
