aquatouch sure sounds like as much of as show name as anything....

names can be cool if not taken too seriously...but its all what we make of it.

Oh yeah let me clarify, the LFS name was Aquatouch. LOL So i used that name as to where it originated from. A wild colony that i originally bought from Aquatouch a store here in Phoenix.

Still doesnt change the fact that aquatouch montipora is still a name. Names just tell us when an SPS is the same. You could call some amazing stick fred and if its nice that is cool with me.....as long as when I go to buy a frag of fred its the same fred that I know and wanted.

I certainly agree with you on that. I don't know how many times someone has tried to pull a fast one on me and sell me an ORA fake.

My point to the OP is to at least come up with a name of their own if they are not sure it is Jedi Mind Trick, then in my opinion it would not be right calling it Jedi Mind Trick to attempt to add some prestige.

At no point did the original poster claim to have a frag of Jedi mind trick. He asked a simple question which is the title of this thread. He is not attempting to add prestige to his coral. You on the other hand found a wild coral and decided to name it yourself. Which is fine as long as you understand that by doing so you are add a level of "prestige" to what I believe is a very nice coral.

many times vendors may get it wrong too so names may be useless. wanted to know species. I'll take reeferguys suggestion and call it psychotic jedi if it holds those colors and i ever decide to sell it off which is unlikely so you wont be seeing any psychotic jedis named coral in the market. lol

+1 his question is this an undata or confusa. Hey Steezy just send me piece and we'll stop talking about it.

A buddy of mine got a couple wild pieces that are indistinguishable from Jedi but they are hub cap sized lol pretty cool montis... people get too hung up on names there is still more of every LE piece that ever existed sittin in the ocean and a thousand new ones waiting for Jason fox or steve tyree to stamp their name on it, we all want the name brand but at the end of the day your pink ****** bubalicious tri colored mamba could be an wild caught imposter that someone is passing off as the real deal and you would never know the difference

Correct they did not claim they had Jedi Mind Trick, other post did. I didn't want the OP to go away thinking that ID with the easy out answer. I gave mine lineage by calling it Aquatouch, that is where mine came from originally the local fish store called Aquatouch. I called it Montipora cf. undata, that is it's name.
