Help me identify this coral, it popped up about 7 years ago from the rock. I have speculated on what it is. its fleshy but never retracts, and has a solid base. maybe type of favia? Its now about 8 inches across.

I had thought that at one time but there is no separation in the "eyes" or heads like on acans

I believe you're thinking of an acan lordhowensis. Echinata & Rotundoflora aren't like that.
