Just posted photos since video isn’t working

It’s really small?

That is an amphipod - good guy! And if they populate your tank, which they will, even better! They’re free fish food, good cleanup crew, all the things.

Amphipod of some sort. Or mysis shrimp

About a half an inch

Maybe a peppermint but a baby one. If it turns red. You’ll know. Or maybe a copepod. Pics sorta blurry

I 3rd it.

Amphipod

Looks like an amphipod to me. Harmless and highly desirable.

Cool, wonder how it got in there. Very interesting to find live mysis in the tank. I’ve never fed live mysis shrimp/ amphipod

Copepods are much smaller

Amphipods and Mysis are both amazing at just showing up on their own. I believe the Mysis shrimp that end up in our tanks are different than the ones we feed though (those are usually freshwater Mysis). The thing in your picture is most definitely an amphipod. If you’ve ever added any live rock, that’s where it came from. They also love to hide in frags, anywhere they can fit.

I remember staring at one of the first tanks I ever set up and I saw something move in the rocks. Lo and behold, it was an amphipod just scurrying around, eating whatever tiny things were available on the rocks. As far as I knew, that was the only living thing in there so far so I was enamored. :)

Probably not a mysis, but they look a lot like amphipods so I threw it out there.
