Up graded tank

If I upgrade my tank from 29 gal to 40 gal with sump , transfer everything over and it doesn't go into a cycle how aged is my tank ? Is it as old as the 29 gal or do I consider the 40 a new set up ? I'm asking bc I was interested in maybe getting a nem but I know the tank needs to be well established

FWIW, you are ready for the nem but I call the 40 as new setup.

When calling out age of tank I just consider when it was set up as a new box even though everything in it could be 10 years old as in my case. My 150 is 2 months old but everything is from my 10-year-old 75. So my tank is 2 months old full of SPS and a nem and a clam.
