He was probably just snacking after the fish died. I have seen this in my QTs before. If a fish dies during the day while at work, I've come home to fish that have been munched on.

Sorry you are having a tough time. Velvet is nasty and we've all been there at some point man, I feel for ya.
Yeah it sucks.

Though I did separate them just in case. I will be doing some more dips and I’m likely to transition to chloroquin phosphate.

The worst part is feeling guilty about it. I did the best I could, short of treating as soon as they arrived, but I still feel so horrible.

The biggest thing is I hadn’t seen the trigger being aggressive ever before, but simultaneously the sailfin tang was my healthiest looking fish, so I’m just left falbbergasted at the result. Hopefully I can preserve the remaining four fish at least.
