Hi.
Would like to upgrade the cheap jebao I’m running on my setup to vortex to take advance advantage of apex programming via the mxm. Currently running the mow 22 which are rated at 5800 gph max. This falls somewhat in the middle of the mp40 5000 gph max and the 60s 9000 gph max. Tank is 350 gallons and 10ft L x 2.5ft W x 2ft H long and I’m currently running two power heads on each side. The 22s in a constant or wave mode definitely provide good move ment but the static flow directions not so ideal for coral. The random mode which I typically run definitely seems to favor the lower end of flow. Running at like 50% of flow according to wattage monitoring. Not sure how the random options of the vortex compare. Assuming a sps dominate mix. Curious if people think given this. Tanks size if I need to bite the bullet and cost should go with 60s. Or are they over kill with my size and gallon and the 40s would still be more ideal approach down grading the 800 gph
