So I recently added 4 jebao mow 22 wave makers to tank. While these things are cheap they are certainly powerful I’ll give them that. They only come with 4 modes. Constant, wave, sine and random. My ideal scenario would be to run them in the random reef mode. But after I comparing the watt draws over a period of time it would appear that the random mode actually tends to favor towards the lower end speed of the pump. I have two plug into this would and each have an max draw of 50 watts for a total mak draw of 100 obviously. Both the sine and wave modes seem to on average run slightly above avg speed so will probably be running in one of these modes now to get a bit more flow
Not looking for any fixes I’m just more curious if anyone has data to share on how random modes stack up on other model wave makers. if this mode was truly random I’d expect to see an average closer or even a tick above 50 watts like the other two modes and even some extended periods of time where the flow remains above average for a period of time or vice versa and not back and forth across a mean with the occasion spike outside a deviation range
Appreciate any input
Thanks
