I'm up in Dannemora, NY. Perhaps you heard of the famous prison break? They are my neighbors. The prison that is. I don't borrow any eggs or sugar from them that's for sure.

Either way, no local LFS near me. Looking for people within a couple hours to find out where they go, maybe shoot the Breeze.

Yeah i'm up in the middle of nowhere. 45min from Montreal. Burlington, Vt is hour and a half away, but I'm not a fan of shopping at Pet Advantage

I'm upstate as well, but not quite as far north. I travel to Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo for my needs. Nothing up north that I have found.

You'll need to change that "way upstate" location lol, jk jk... that's a haul for me, but if there is good shops, may make a weekend trip.

Welcome (again?), as a fellow north easterner unfortunately the pickings are very slim. Luckily we live in the golden age of social media and online shopping or else we might be really stuck! lol
Once you hit mass you start to get more options, good luck and happy reefing!

Yeah unfortuantly in the welcome forum, most just pop in, post a quirky pic with a welcome, and pass on. They typically don't read the OP.

Welcome to R2R! I do most of my shopping online. Over time I have found out that some vendors are not as good as others. Just this morning I placed an order for 2 buckets of instant ocean reef salt. Two and a half weeks ago I won the auction on Reefpro and the three anthias that I received were very healthy and are eating. They hid at first but now they are enjoying their QT.

I have only ever met up with one other person from this forum in real life that is local to me - I real shame too as those have become some of my favorite frags.
I wish there was a larger coordinated group for our region. You see all the dark blue badges on users on this site, but all of them are west or south if you look on a map.
