My pincushion doesn’t hurt any coral, but they can put them in their back if not really secure. I’ve had a few not glued well that got a ride for a day until I caught it.Will a sea urchin hurt coral if it is glued down?
I've got three, a pincushion, a black one with short beige spikes, and a pencil....all 3 model citizens for over 6 years, until about 2 weeks ago. My pencil has found a sudden affinity for Kenya Trees (some would call this a blessing lol), and just caught him at the base of my orange gorgonian, that is likely the last straw. He is not long for my tank, or this world perhaps....My longspine urchin definitely eats corals, epecially acropora and montipora. He has very expensive taste.
Yes an urchin will be fine with those fishAlso is an urchin ok with the following stock?
One neon dotty back
Diamond watchman goby
Scooter blenny
Wyoming clownfish
Snowflake clownfish
Latticed butterfly
Lawnmower blenny
Your biggest concern imo is if an urchin decides to go rogue on the coral stock...if you have enough rock and algae, one shouldn't be an issue.Bump

Do you have another question??Bump
Yes, this happens in my tank as well. Snails also go for rides on the pincushion. My pincushion doesn’t hurt any coral, but they can put them in their back if not really secure. I’ve had a few not glued well that got a ride for a day until I caught it.
