Oi have now purchased a D&D skimmer guardian too. Adding that in to the mix for a third safety feature. Also think I will rework my skimmer collection cup so that I can pump directly from that! This was if it over flows, it will stay in the sump.

Related question: why is the skimmer overflowing so often? Do you have a really big bio load or is it just finicky and occasionally pumps out fairly clean water?

It’s not really related because this discussion is more about the sensors but it’s just over skimming when cleaned out. I have a large bio load so need to clean it often. Sometimes it’s goes nuts and pumps out pure water.

How very odd!

Home today, made no changes, now the float switch and leak sensors work!!

Very worrying that I don’t know why this happened. I would rather find out this is my fault!
Did you do a power-cycle yesterday?

Sincerely Lasse

Yes. But it didn’t work after the power cycle. But 24 hours later it does.

This is fishy. I hope that GHL can solve this with an explanation. I have been a problem solver for halv my life and there is nothing that scare me more than fault that repair them self.

Maybe out of topic, but have you thought of an automatic neck cleaner for your skimmer? It may solve your problem. Hope your daughter and @Lasse get well really soon!

I have a Nyos skimmer.

Does the squeegie thing get covered in skim material all the time?
