I just purchased a apex system from Bulk Reef to upgrade my existying APEX Classic. I installed everything yesterday and calibrated all my probes, everything worked perfect and the system was operating as expected. I updated the firmware to the neptune yesterday and it said all was fine during and after the update. I noticed last night after updating i got an alarm that would not shut off for a level sensor that i use to alert me if the sump water level goes too low. This sensor is always submurged and shows as closed under default but was showing open in apex. i did not think too much of it until today when i went to do my weekly water change and stuck my hands in the water and it was WAY hotter then normal. Checked the apex and showed 78.2 grabbed a differnt temp probe that is known proper and it showed my tank temp at 95 degrees!!! i changed my water and put an ice pack in the sump thinking i had a bad temp probe because everything else appeared to be reading correctly. as the temp was falling on my external temp gauge the apex was not following. I tried my old probe thinking that is what was wrong but same reading. i reset the apex and now i have no control over anything at all - my dashboard looks normal expect that all my graphs are blank and the ph reads 8 and temp 75 - i unlinked to fusion and relinked with the same results - acts the same way using the local dashboard i am out of ideas at this point. The apex tried to roast my tank and it acted like there was nothing wrong with it. how are you to trust this?

I would call brs supply where you bought it and if their not open you might want to see if Greg at top shelf aquatics in Orlando can help you if he’s in As your in Orlando . They may or may not charge you . It’s worth a try as Greg is the apex guru

Still try calling Greg at top shelf aquatics . If they charge you they take credit cards and he can remotely go into your system to fix . If it’s an easy fix he might just tell you what to do . Doesn’t hurt to ask

Kinda of a dumb question but is your temp probe calibrated? Have you tried plugging your heater into a different outlet to see if the one it’s in is stuck on? Just a couple of ideas.

Now that I’m thinking about this if your probe is reading 78 degrees and it’s actually 90 something my money is on the probe being way out of calibration. You can take an accurate reading with known equipment and then correct the apex probe by filling my pics… 79A9ECD0-9B82-4EAD-9717-1A94FEAA19F4.jpeg 05941CB9-4546-4C02-9860-74F64E0C215C.jpeg 0F3F6F98-DBD5-4726-B3A7-EA096FA775B1.jpeg 7D5B8D25-BEDA-4182-A188-39BF3F7974FE.jpeg

I thought of that actually however I tried my old temp probe and it made no difference, this is my dashboard right now with everything running, currently tank at 84 degrees
